A new degree will be launching at the University this September.
Studies under the Environmental Science and Climate Change programme will focus largely on the Upper Rock Nature Reserve.
It will be the sister of the successful Marine Science Programme that has been running for five years.
Placements for students will be available at the Botanic Gardens and the Department of Environment, Heritage and Climate Change.
The degree was announced at an event at the Botanic Gardens.
