On my way back to camp late afternoon, I came across an extremely rare sighting of a Kori Bustard with a scrub hare in his beak. He was trying to call the female and younger bustard that were just off the road. It was as if he was trying to present them with a 'gift'. Unfortunately they did not come any closer. When I read up on the diet of a Kori Bustard, I was interested to read that small mammals are a part of their diet.
