Roald Dahl's macabre, cruel, and unsettling stories are still collectively known, courtesy of the television anthology that adapted them in the 1970s and 1980s, as the 'Tales of the Unexpected'. However, not all of his short story collections used that name, and when BBC Radio 4 came to adapt them they eschewed the name altogether. Four sets of five tales were broadcast, all of them adapted from Dahl's stories by Stephen Sheridan. 'A Little Twist of Dahl' was the third of these.
