Flames continued to burn from Australia's bushfires in the Blue Mountains on Sunday, one of the hardest hit areas by the ongoing fires.
Residents near Sydney's south west were also beginning to inspect the damage caused by the fires over the past several days, with one resident recounting how he hid from the fires in a coffin-sized kiln until the fires passed by. He said he used the kiln when he realized he wouldn't have time to leave.
Numerous other properties in the town of Balmoral and surrounding areas were also completely damaged by the fires.
