Maricopa County Recorder’s Chief Information Officer, Nate Young, explains some of the factors that affect the delayed counting of votes on Election Day. He says in some instances early voters delay to mail their ballots and bring them on the day of election. He explains that sometimes tha ballots may be having errors that need to be attended to and the process may take at least 5 days.
