Many church leaders and pastors teach their congregation that rebelling against them is the sin of witchcraft and they need to submit or God will judge them and send them an evil spirit. The truth is, rebellion is not the sin of witchcraft, it is as the the sin of witchcraft. It is as the sin of witchcraft in the sense that it is just as wicked and sinful. This passage has been over used and over blown. Yes rebellion is sinful but it is not witchcraft. People like John Bevere and Derek Prince are a bit on the weird and over exaggerated side and don't teach sound doctrine when it comes to this sort of thing. John Bevere is particularly heretical when it comes to pastoral authority.
