In this video, the third in our email marketing mini-series, I will show you how you can automate your entire (or almost entire) sales process by using email marketing - an action that literally SAVED the Exposure Ninja business.
Whilst the advice in this video is mostly relevant to lead generation businesses with a sales team, eCommerce businesses can still glean a lot of applicable and relevant advice from watching.
The first step to automating your sales process is to write out your sales process step by step.
At each stage of your business’ sales funnel, you can see where you could be communicating with your potential leads by implementing automatic sales follow up emails.
For example, once a lead registers on your website, your business could send out an automated email to them outlining the next stage of the process, instantly freeing up the time of the salesperson who would’ve been responsible for getting in touch with them.
I will then tell you how you can build an automated email system, as well as demonstrate the kind of content you can send out throughout your sales process to keep your leads engaged and, ultimately, to get them to convert.
One of the most important parts of email marketing automation is making sure you watch your drop-offs, sign-ups, open rates, click-throughs and other important metrics. With email automation, it is not as "set it and forget it" as people hope. Sure, you can let it sit there. But if you put in the time, you will see better results.
