National Security : Fend off Detective's thugs

What’s happening in this National Security movie clip?
During the confrontation, Earl (Martin Lawrence) and Hank (Steve Zahn) meet with McDuff (Colm Feore), Nash (Eric Roberts), and their men near the coast, rescuing Washington (Bill Duke) and accidentally starting a shootout, but the trio manage to kill or apprehend most of Nash's gang, including McDuff. Hank is shot, but he survives.

What’s the movie National Security about?
At the Los Angeles Police Academy, Earl Montgomery (Martin Lawrence) shows great aptitude to become a good cop, but his rebellious and flamboyant character works against him. As a result, he is expelled from the academy after a fight. Shortly after getting a job as a security guard, Earl has an altercation with police officer Hank Rafferty (Steve Zahn). Falsely accusing him of harassment and racism, he causes Hank to lose his job and end up in jail for six months. Upon his release, the ex-cop is hired by the same security agency as Earl. Soon after, both of them discover a huge smuggling operation run by the mysterious Nash (Eric Roberts). Despite hating each other's guts, Earl and Hank team up to catch these criminals.
