Originally most people will use Matilda glitch to recruit Futch and Humphrey, but there are more people to recruits lol. The timing is after you escape Muse, Two River can be accessed. We can recruit 4 people by going there and towns nearby: Hans, Taki, Tetsu, and Oulan. You can also recruit Futch and Humphrey in this time but not recommended (remember that on my video, Gengen and Jowy are my damage dealer on Futch quest). The interesting point is the dialogue. They originally joins you after you got castle and they will mention your castle name. If you're doing this, instead they say *named* castle they just say *blank space* castle lol... Also, I got lucky that Ragged One, a monster on world map dropped Chick (a missable item that I will get later), so when Two River arc starts, I'll only grind for Turtle Plans !!
Look this world map for direction, your route will be Matilda gate glitch, Matilda Forest, Two River, Lakewest,Kuskus, Radat. Exit to East on Radat then you'll be back on merc fort (1st place on the game)

the important note is get Recipe #16, as soon Taki recruited it will missed forever !!!
Edit : Important note !!! Don't ever bring Eilie's trio if you want doing this. It will cause two problems. One, Oulan can't recruited due to Bolgan. Two, If Futch and Humphrey didn't recruited yet and you want to do this mission, your game will be freeze somewhere on story. This is same glitch that happened if you kick Jowy and Nanami for Futch and Humphrey...
Summary: buy some Fried Tacos (two river kobold), get Recipe #16, Recruit Hans and Taki
