Premiers are set to meet in Toronto next week, with one central issue on the agenda – Donald Trump’s tariff threat.

So far, there’s been a spectrum of responses from Canadian leaders; some more diplomatic than others – and all seemingly without much coordination.

Next week’s fall economic statement is expected to set out Ottawa’s response to Trump’s demand, including tighter border security.
