The recently announced Self-Employed Income Support Scheme (SEISS) was a result of significant pressure to support the many self-employed freelancers in the UK.
Ceri Stoner and Seth Roe of Wiggin LLP explain how the scheme works and who is expected to benefit. Whilst SEISS will provide a lifeline for many, this is unchartered territory and the scheme’s design means that some freelancers will fall short of the criteria. Seth and Ceri explore the detail of requirements and what options are available for those who aren’t eligible.
This programme is supported by the BFI awarding National Lottery funds as part of the Future Film Skills programme and by the ScreenSkills High-end TV Skills Fund with contributions from UK high-end TV productions.
