Mawaghat is around 2.5 hours distance from dhaka, and the whole journey is about hilsa. The hotels there ask you to choose your ilish (from the assortment) and cook it in front of you. Pricing is dart cheap, as compared to Kolkata. And it's an experience not to be missed. We tasted around 5 types of fish bharta, one whole hilsa (some fried and rest as jhol) and the whole lunch for 5 of us cost me 900 BDT.
