IGS POLYGAME MASTER (PGM) UNBOXING OVERVIEW AND GAMEPLAY
Welcome back to another video. In this video I wanted to show you my recent pickups of the IGS PolyGame Master (PGM) motherboard and game, Knights of Valour Plus. I mistakenly identified the game as Knights of Valour Superheroes Plus in the video, but this is incorrect. Knights of Valour Plus was released for the IGS PGM in 1999.
Knights of Valour is a side-scrolling Beat 'em up action arcade series released by International Games System. The plot is loosely adapted from the Chinese historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms and features the Five Tiger Generals, Zhuge Liang, Diaochan and others as playable characters. The gameplay involves the use of magical powers that are not featured in other games also based on the novel. The game was released in Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Traditional and Simplified) and English. Most games in the series ran on the IGS PolyGame Master hardware, but there were 2 games that did not run on the PGM hardware: Knights of Valour: The Seven Spirits, which ran on the Sammy Atomiswave hardware, and a game simply titled Knights of Valour, which was only released for the PlayStation 4.
The PolyGame Master (PGM) is an arcade system board released in 1997 by the Taiwanese company IGS. The PGM was developed in order to compete with the likes of SNK's Neo Geo MVS system in Taiwan. It was succeeded by PGM2 in 2007, and PGM3 in 2012.
Certain later games, released by CAVE, came on a single dedicated board and utilizes a customized BIOS programmed by CAVE.
I hope that you all enjoy the video, and will feature more videos on the IGS PGM in the future. Please Like and Subscribe for future videos.
