Exotics Racing ([ Ссылка ]) is a gorgeous facility, very clean and well-designed.
After we checked in, we were given a technical briefing by an instructor, who showed us on a screen what the track is like, preparing us for the different turns there were, and giving us pointers on the most efficient driving techniques to use on the racetrack.
Then we rode along with an instructor in a Porsche Cayenne in order to get a preview of the racetrack. Even though he wasn't going that fast, it was still pretty exhilarating.
After the ride-along, you'll have plenty of time to walk around, admiring their fleet of 50 exotic cars and watching other drivers race around the track. If you've got your kids with you, this is something they'll enjoy too. Plus, they'll get to watch mom or dad race a sports car - how cool is that?
After the ride-along we picked a helmet, and it was almost time for us to get behind the wheel. We were not at all nervous.
Here are a few insider tips to make your experience the best that it can be.
Insider Tip 1:
Check out the Drifting Ride-Along Experience
You'll get to ride in the passenger seat while a professional drifter pushes a Corvette Z-oh-six to the limit, Fast and Furious style. And your kids can participate in this too, as long as they're taller than 4 foot 3. I was too nervous to do it, but I definitely want to try it next time we go back.
Insider Tip 2:
Reserve your car online
If there's a specific car that you absolutely must drive, you can reserve it online and pre-pay ahead of time. That way you can guarantee that you'll get that one. I picked the Lamborghini Gallardo and Serge opted for the Lamborghini Huracan. If you'd rather not pre-pay, you can just show up as a walk-in. But I'd recommend going as early in the day as€ possible, as it gets pretty hectic in the afternoons and you might be in for a long wait.
Insider Tip 3:
Call the limo company as soon as they're late
Since Exotics is located about 20 minutes away from the Strip, they partner with a limo service company called Presidential Limousine to provide transportation. We had a really bad experience with our limo pick-up, and I heard complaints from other customers too. So I'd recommend that if you see your limo is late, start calling the company right away to make sure your driver didn't just ditch you, like ours did. Especially if you pre-paid, you don't want to forfeit your appointment.
