A preview of the best upcoming smartphones in 2023 is the focus of this week's tech-flavoured timewaster, including fan favourites like the Google Pixel 8, iPhone 15 Pro Max and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5. Foldable phones are well represented by Samsung, Pixel, Huawei and more, with lots of big brands yet to launch their latest tech.

While the Pixel Fold is due out in just a few weeks, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro won't be seen until October time. Expect upgraded camera tech as well as the usual Tensor boost. Shortly before, we'll see Apple's latest iPhone 15 series, including the so-big-it'll-choke-a-blue-whale Pro Max model.

Bendy blower fans can rejoice at the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5, hopefully with an all new hinge. Not many leaks on those ahead of the launch but it's still a few months away. Meanwhile, the Huawei Mate X3 and Motorola RAZR 2023 are due to hit the UK much sooner.
