Just a brief amateur demonstration of the tones that the Carvin Vintage 16 amp (all tube, switchable between 16 watts and 5 watts) can produce. The guitar is a Carvin DC135. The speaker in the amp is a Celestion Vintage 30. No pedals used.
1st setting: Clean. Soak knob on 6. 16 watt Pentode mode.
2nd setting: Crunch. Soak knob on 8. 16 watt Pentode mode.
Then you see me turn it off briefly to switch into the 5 watt Triode mode.
3rd setting: 5 watt Overdrive. Soak starts on 8 but you see me turn it up to 9.
No rehearsed shredding here. Just a quickly thrown together sound demo. Sorry the sound isn't professional... just the Flip Video camcorder internal mic. But I hope this may be helpful to anyone who is curious about this amplifier.
I should also point out that the guitar has Carvin AP11 single coil pickups at the neck and in the center and a Carvin Holdsworth H22T pickup at the bridge.
