It's a welcoming sight for coffee lovers in east central Spokane, as a rebuild of a beloved coffee shop is just a month away.
In August 2021, a driver plowed through the Dutch Bros stand at 5th and Freya. Seven people were hurt, and two Dutch Bros employees were sent to the hospital.
The driver was arrested for DUI and sentenced to 15 months in prison.
Now, two years later, Dutch Bros is rebuilding in the same spot.
Owner Kevin Parker says he hopes to open in four weeks.
