In the following video you will learn how to build yourself a cheap Nanoleaf (Which is expensive) alternative for much cheaper.
The video is based on the Moodlite project (moodlite.co.uk) and using the W2182B RGB led strip and the ESP8266 controller and require basic electronics and soldering skills.
