There is bipartisan support in Congress for banning the Chinese-owned social media app TikTok. A few bills in Congress would do that, one of which is the RESTRICT Act. While many Americans support banning TikTok, there is concern that the RESTRICT Act would be another PATRIOT Act, i.e. give the government too much power with too little oversight. In this episode of America Uncovered, we look at what people find terrifying about the bill, whether those fears are justified, and what language in the bill makes it look like a terrifying government power grab.
