Rajkot: On May 1, Gujarat’s Foundation Day, Rajkot will get a new address for recreation. The Atal Sarovar amusement facility that was inaugurated by chief minister Bhupendra Patel on Thursday will be opened to the public on May 1.
The project has been christened second Racecourse. For years, the Racecourse in the heart of the city has been the favourite hangout place for locals.

The Atal Sarovar has been developed on three lakh sq m area on the new Ring Road by reviving an old lake and designing amusement activity around its periphery.
Aanand Patel, municipal commissioner of Rajkot said, “The project is complete and only some finishing work remains. Opening it for people on Gujarat Foundation Day was a common suggestion by many.”
