This is our MyMoto road guide to the famous Cat and Fiddle road, between Macclesfield and Buxton.

The cat and Fiddle has been a famous biker road for decades, with it's reputation for high speed thrills equally matched by it's dangers. Over the years, both Macclesfield, Derbyshire county councils and the police force, have tried various means to limit the incidents that happen along the ten mile stretch of road. Named after what was once the highest pub in the England, the Cat and Fiddle Inn, that sits half way along the route and often closed through the winter due to high winds and snow, it can be a cruel and
unforgiving place. The question is, is it as good today as it's reputation might suggest?


We take a close look, including a full ride through run, where to watch out for speed cameras, blind bends, bad road surface and water run off. We also caught up with Biker Pics during one of their roadside photo shoots.
