PRICE HILL, Ohio (WKRC) -- A community group hopes to restore a 112-year-old masonic lodge in Price Hill.
The building sits at the corner of Price and Purcell Avenues and has been vacant since the late '70s. The building was designed by Samuel Hannaford, the same architect who designed Music Hall and City Hall.
The inside of the building is in pretty bad shape. The port authority recently stabilized the roof and closed up any leaks. Price Hill said renovating the building will be a $5 million project but half of that should be covered by historic tax credits.
The group will launch a capital campaign to cover the rest of the cost. The old lodge will become a community arts and events center at the West End of Price Hill's entertainment district.
