The council's spending plans for 2016/17 will be presented to the Policy & Resources committee on Thursday 3 December 2015.
Rising demand, increasing costs and reductions in government funding means that we have to do things differently and change how we deliver services. It is predicted that the council will need to make savings of over £68 million over the next four years, assuming a 1.99% rise in Council Tax every year.
We will start consulting residents on the 2016/17 budget proposals when the papers are published on 25 November 2015.
The final decision on the spending plans and proposed council tax rates will go to the budget council meeting on 23 March 2016.
