Fire danger ratings have changed. We've made them simpler and clearer.
There's four levels - Moderate, High, Extreme and Catastrophic. Each level comes with clear actions to take.
On days of minimal risk, 'No Rating' will be used.
The fire danger ratings are based on the latest science and research, meaning they're more accurate - and the same system is used across Australia, meaning you'll see the same approach wherever you live, work or travel.
You'll find the fire danger ratings on the NSW RFS website, in the Fires Near Me NSW app and on roadside signs.
Know the changes. They could save your life.
