The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt was the most wonderful and emotionally intense reading experience I've enjoyed so far this year. It took me a couple of tries to get into it, but once I did, I couldn't put it down. I can honestly say that Tartt is one of my favorite writers. I'll be reading The Little Friend in the not too distant future.
