This is the MG 1/100 XXXG-01S2, Altron Gundam (EW) from P-Bandai. This is my very first Premium Bandai Kit. This kit I believe was released January 2021. I am no master builder. All of my builds are strait builds with decals and panel lining. I hope this video gives you an idea of what you would be looking at if you decide to get this kit. This was the first time I have every worked with water slide decals. I can honestly say I do not know if I care for them. I did not use mark setter, and everything recommended room temperature water. I think slightly warm would actually be preferable. Once I was finished, I was having trouble with some of them staying on. You may notice a few missing. This is also the first time I have every applied a topcoat to a kit, mostly to secure the decals. I used Mr. Super Clear Matt finish. I will say that I loved the way the topcoat made the finished product look. I did have some issues with the kit staying together and with how much I had to spend to acquire this kit I didn't want to risk damaging it. So unfortunately, there is not as many action poses as I wish there was in this video. One thing I am worred about is I have the expansion parts on the way and I know I will have to take apart the shoulders and possibly the back to finish the kit. I will make a new video of the kit once that is complete. All in all I really enjoyed the build I know I need to work on my cuts a little more and the water slides are a work in progress for me. I also know I need to do a better job applying the matt finish. Probably not the kit I wish I would have learned this on. Maybe I will have to get a cheaper kit and experiment on it. This kit looks great and I know I could probably think of a better pose for the shelf but I really love they way it looks. Thank you for your time I hope this was helpful to you in some way.
