The question of whether homosexuals should be allowed to get married is an explosive issue in France. Last month, hundreds of thousands of protesters turned out for a demonstration which then became violent. The law has already been passed by parliament and the focus has now turned to the upper house, the Senate. Opponents to the law are coming to petition senators. Among them, mayors who do not want to conduct same-sex weddings. Al Jazeera's Jacky Rowland reports from Paris.
