It's been confirmed that Cody was forced to say all of this stuff by Mike and Heather. According to both Rose (in a radio interview in 2017) and Cody, they promised him and Emma toys if they crap talked their biological mother.
As of today (2024) Cody is 17 and Emma is turning 19 in October. They still live with their mother Rose and are leading happy lives.
Mike and Heather told both Cody and Emma when they took them from Rose that she had thrown them away "like garbage" and didn't want them (which wasn't true, she fought alongside her own family to get them back for months, the months where Daddyofive was on youtube) And in the months that followed they made Cody and Emma believe their mother never loved them and hurt them.
This unseen footage was recorded in 2017 just weeks before Rose gained custody of Emma and Cody again. Emma quickly ran to her mother when she came to get them however Cody was hesitant at first due to what Mike and Heather had told them about Rose. According to Rose in an interview with lawyer
Tim Conlon, she showed Cody a token he had won whilst living with her for being good at school and it reminded him of how his mother was proud of him, and kept that while he was living with Mike.
Cody and Emma attended therapy once they settled back in with their mother to deal with the truama caused to them by Mike and Heather in the various Daddyofive "prank" videos. According to Cody and Emma's grandfather Robert Hall, they were both diagnosed with CPTSD (childhood post traumatic stress disorder) due to Mike and Heather's treatment but have made huge improvements now that they are in a better environment.
As for this footage. It was released by Mike and Heather in a drive file in the Summer of 2021 as an attempt to "win back" their fans and bring up all of the old drama revolving the situation with Rose.
When Emma found out about these videos in 2023, she posted a video to her tiktok (which is now deleted, but you can probably find it re uploaded on YouTube) where she told Mike and Heather to leave her alone and that her mother wasn't an abuser. Cody has no social media, mostly because of the few Daddyofive fans that are still out there and don't respect their privacy. Emma and Rose deleted most of their own online activity in the past years due to constant questions about the situation from Daddyofive supporters as well as harassment.
