It’s December 11 of 1978.

A group of men wearing gloves and ski masks run up to the gate of a Lufthansa cargo bay in New York at 3 in the morning.

They cut open the main gate to the building, run inside, and take the employees hostage.

They force the night shift manager to open a large vault filled with almost 6 million in cash. They throw the money in a group of large bags, run out to an unmarked black van waiting at the gate, and disappear into the night.
