DIY wireless probe for PCNC440 and Tormach passive probe.
Using 38KHz IR sourced by Arduino compatible attiny85 + transistor driving high power IR LEDs. Received by 38KHz IR receiver which uses a transistor to drive a reed relay operating in the Normally Closed mode used by Tormach passive probes.
Very low standby power (.09ma) and wake-up only on probe opening should give very long probe battery life between recharges from 600maH Lipo probe battery. Receiver standby of .4ma should similarly provide long between charges from 2500maH 18650 cell.
