Today we begin our quick look at the 2018 Bordeaux vintage with a wine from Chateau Pavie Macquin.
I was lucky enough to attend a Zoom tasting hosted by Daniel Posner of Grapes Wine Co in White Plains, NY and featuring special guest Jeb Dunnuck. Jeb is one of the world's premier wine critic whose knowledge and coverage of Bordeaux is second to none. The tasting was a treat.
Jeb discussed how the 2018 vintage of Bordeaux is an excellent vintage where it will be easy to find good wines as it is consistently good across the board.
We kick off the Bordeaux shorts with the 2018 Chateau Pavie Macquin, a Saint Emilion red featuring mostly Merlot in its blend.
