Anybody remember this game? It was incredible. The mechanics and setting really cooperate here. It's satisfying and tough as nails. I didn't have as much to argue about Joe, but I really love the game and wanted to give it a shout - and lament the tragedy of licenses lost with Clover Studios' closure. Nowadays would be called a 'character action' game, but I'm sticking with 'Stylish Brawler'. This was also kind of a side project while I was playing through God of War 2017 and writing two scripts. Oof, lot to say about that title.

Extra lore for the description - the 4th boss Alastor is a Devil May Cry reference, sharing a name with Dante's electric sword. Air raid, a powerful signature move in DMC, is also used by Alastor. You can unlock him by beating Joe on a high difficulty, and he uses a Devil Trigger mechanic.

It's a small callout in Bayonetta, but Sylvia is one of the names listed off by Luka among the girls who would be heartbroken without him.
