Gamilaraay, Kooma and Murrawari man Boe Spearim is the convenor of grassroots activist group Treaty Before Voice. Spearim explains that he doesn’t think the referendum process has considered proposals from activists ‘who have been advocating for something that could go even further than the voice’.
