June 8, 2024: Saturday Afternoon Jazz and Funk with Saskia Laroo and bassist Kim Clarke,  Ladies of Jazz. They kicked off the festival on the small outdoor stage, delivering both original compositions and jazz standards.

About the Band:
Specially assembled for the "Jazz aan de Sjtasie" Festival, this lineup features Kim Clarke, renowned for her work with Defunkt and Joe Henderson; Saskia Laroo, a global jazz trumpeter; Heleen van Rosmalen, a classical flute virtuoso turned jazz musician; Warren Byrd, known for his original compositions; and James Williams, famed for his tight funky grooves with Lucid Lucia.
