Parker (aka Furbie) is Ashley's Shih Tzu she adopted with her sister, Emily, in August 2011 in a last-chance home situation. Parker had been abused the first two years of his life and was on death row if he couldn't find a home. His favorite things include playing with his pumpkin squeakie toy, walking outside in the garden, alerting someone if there's an animal in the pool, taking naps in his Martha Stewart bed, & grabbing clothing out of the laundry hamper. My sister Emily became terminally ill with the rarest autoimmune & GI disorders in the world in 2012 during her sophomore year of high school & had her entire quality of life taken out from under her. She could no longer horseback ride, run track & field, or pursue a career due to the excruciating extent of her medical conditions. Emily gained her dignity back & passed away on May 17, 2023, & her dream of becoming a kindergarten teacher lives on thru the legacy fund.
