WARMER DESPITE THE SPRING SHOWERS
Spring system tracking just to our west will continue the chance for more rain showers as we go through the day. The first round of showers will end later this morning with the second wave arriving later this afternoon. By then, the level of instability should be high enough to produce even a few thunderstorms. Rain showers will end later tonight leaving behind a good quarter to a half an inch in the rain gauge.
Surface winds will remain quite breezy out of the south with gusts close to 30 mph. Despite the rain shower chances today, temperatures will be warmer with afternoon highs in the low to mid 50s.
With the departure of the system comes a shift in winds out of the drier, slightly cooler northwest. This will drop afternoon highs in the upper 40s as skies become mostly sunny.
Litte change is expected on Saturday, though temperatures may get a slight nudge with highs around 50 degrees. A stronger surge of warmer air is still scheduled to blow in on Sunday with highs in the lower 60s. Before temperatures make another attempt to reach the 60 degree mark on Monday, another round of rain will pass by the area.
