Today we are going to show you how to make a Savory Croissant French Toast Casserole. If you love the combination of sweet and savory, you will definitely love this. The best part of this casserole is that you can prep everything the night before. It is also great for gatherings because who wants to be stuck in the kitchen making breakfast while everyone is enjoying their coffee in the other room? It is substantial and delicious. Perfect for Mother’s Day brunch!
Tip:
• Casserole can be made a day in advance, but will need to bake longer (cook until skewer inserted comes out clean)
• Baked covered for 30 minutes the remove cover and continue baking until skewer inserted comes out clean (an additional 20 – 30 minutes)
• Use your favorite cheese or whatever you have in the fridge
• Use your favorite deli meat, we just happened to have ham in our fridge
• If you can’t find bacon crumbs, you can cut up bacon strips
• Do not use refrigerated canister crescent rolls for this, it has to be flaky croissants from the bakery (or bakery section of your local grocery store)
