This is a time-lapse video of me building my new rack mounted 1U router PC, This project came of my needing a better pfSense box since my current system was big, ugly, high power consumption, bulky and loud! This new system is the complete opposite drawing about 15 watts! The CPU temps are also nice and chilly as shown in the video.
I built this system in a few hours, I decided to change the fans out that I ordered with the case to a pair I removed from a sky+ HD box and make a custom cable to run them at 5V using the onboard molex power output header, The fans that I had ordered with the case were quite loud when running compared to the sunnon fans I replaced them with.
Some of the hardware that went into this was old parts I had about, Some of it was ordered either from the manufacturer directly or ebay, The motherboard came from Germany as I got a good deal! Below is a full parts list with all the details.
