I began my journey in the Airport waiting for my night flight to Jakarta, Indonesia. After the five hour flight I managed to sleep about one hour, but I was ready for my new adventure in Jakarta.

I arrived at Terminal 2 and needed to take the Jakarta Sky train to terminal 3 because it was way too early for me to check into my hotel as I arrived at around 08 a.m.

At terminal 3 I managed to find a money exchange but none of them would I accept my currency from Bangladesh, I don't know why.

After that I decided to head to the hotel by taking the $4 Airport train, which I must say was quite lovely and an absolute bargain. At just 60,000 rupiah (just over $4) the train was much better than I expected. Spacious, clean, air conditioned and with leather seats.

If you like trains then you would love this train journey across Jakarta becuase I took so many.

Compared to the public transport in the UK here in Jakarta it's much better. A lot cheaper, modern, and more convenient. I really enjoyed this amazing train ride.

The journey on the train took about 1 hour from the Airport station to Mangarai station. My hotel was somehwere in the area of Kuningan. So I know I needed to head in that direction on the train.

But unfortunately there was quite a bit of confusion on how I should get to Kuningan.

After taking the Sky train, the Airport, and the LRT train after leaving the MRT I decided to just get a taxi to the hotel. As I really just wanted to jump in the hotel pool and relax.

Upon arriving at the hotel, I couldn't check in for another hour and I also found out that the hotel swimming pool was under renovation. I couldn't believe my luck!

I'd originally booked seven nights in this hotel but decided to cancel six nights and just stay the one.

I then went to the Lotte shopping mall across the road and bought some very delicious Indonesian chocolate bars.

They were quite amazing. I'd been dreaming about a Silver queen ever since I'd left Jakarta. It was actually one of the reasons why I came back to Jakarta!

I also ate a Zap, Buzza and Take it chocolate bar. They were quite delicious.

The next day I managed to find a very lovely hotel across the road called the Ascott Kuningan. Which had an excellent gym and pretty good swimming pool.

It costs me around $130 per night and was much nicer than the other hotel. I then decided to pop down to the Lotte Shopping mall which was connected to the hotel.

I bought some more Indonesian chocolate and an interesting kind of Indonesian rhino drink. It was yummy!

After that I headed down to the hotel gym and then into their amazing swimming pool. My journey in Jakarta is just beginning and I really excited to explore this amazing city.
