The relentless rainfall and water release from Khadakwasla Dam have caused river levels in the city to surge. Yesterday, the Mula-Mutha river's water reached the under-construction 24m Keshav Nagar-Kharadi Bridge and overflowed the existing one. Although PMC officials have reassured the public about the upcoming bridge's safety, having consulted with the irrigation department and checked the High Flood Line, local residents are furious about the construction delays. Their frustration is compounded by witnessing the water touch the bridge's base.
