wow, just, wow...
I started this year with Acu as my hardest, and now, I have freaking SONIC WAVE under my belt?
I've always been pretty good at wave and Nine Circles levels, and this pushed me to my limit.
(See why Auditory Breaker only took 2.6k attempts? I already had practice with Sonic Wave, that’s why)
In some days I got completely wrecked by 48% deaths and barely had any far attempts, and in other days I played pretty well.
As much as this level is "THAT LEGENDARY DEMON FROM 2016", it has its flaws.
The first cube gets kinda boring, and I got through it about every 1 in 3 times.
I got through the first ship about every 1 in 4 times.
The ball felt really hard but eventually it got consistent, except the last 4 clicks lol
Then the beginning of the wave is ABYSMAL.
It's the least fun part of the level in my opinion.
The rollercoaster at 42% is not that bad and even the 48% timing eventually got SOMEWHAT consistent.
I hated dying after that though.
I never died at the "half-way cube", it speaks for itself, it's about medium-hard demon difficulty, a breather.
The transition into the next dual wave is terrible and felt very luck based. The whole thing from 70-74% is the hardest part of the level in my opinion, and due to it being pretty far, I died there a couple of times.
Luckily only died ONCE at the final wave, which I had practiced a TON beforehand.
In short, it's a hard level overall, sure, but it's carried by chokepoints...
also, kinda unrelated but I struggled a lot to try to edit and upload this video at a consistent 60fps and in time for me to go to sleep

Anyways, it felt surreal to beat Bloodbath, the demon that defined GD in 2015, and it feels even MORE surreal to beat this, the demon that defined GD in 2016 and I'd even say in 2017 too, even with the appearance of AA and DD.
The fact that there are now 226 extreme demons EVEN HARDER than THIS, is beyond my comprehension.
I love this comunnity and how it pushes the skill ceiling to these extents.
