Not every microphone is created equally, but you may be surprised to learn that finding the right mic for your vocal style has far less to do with things like price or brand and more to do with understanding how different types of microphones perform with distinct vocal deliveries. It’s a challenging task, and there’s seldom any one, specific choice that could be called “the best,” but we recruited the man we knew would have the stage and studio experience to help us understand what to look for, what matters, and why: NDV.
