In this video, Xue-Yan Cui, MD, PhD, Oslo University Hospital, Oslo, Norway, discusses her poster presentation from ISTH 2022, which focused on the expression of coagulation inhibitors in the immune microenvironment in precursor stages of multiple myeloma. Dr Cui first provides some background information on this research and comments on the high risk of thrombosis in patients with precursor conditions such as monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS). Dr Cui then discusses how the expression of coagulation inhibitors in the immune microenvironment influences disease.
