The new Nissan Altima is still a pretty spacious car for the class, with a generous trunk and nice rear seat legroom. Compared to something like a Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla, the Altima is much bigger. I think that's the value play here: do you want a loaded up Civic or Corolla, or do you want a decent but much larger car like the Altima. It might really fit some people's needs, literally and figuratively.
