The floating Floyd rose system is a blessing and a curse. It took me quite a while to become comfortable with it. One of the things that frustrated me with the FR is the varying tensions. Especially in different tunings.

One valuable thing I found was that the amount of springs, strength of the springs, and orientation of springs have a huge impact on string tension. I talk about it with a few of my guitars that are ALL tuned differently.
