As of 2023, Robert is still alive and still in prison. He’s in his 70s now, and hopefully, he’ll stay in jail for the rest of his life.
He’s regarded as the most prolific serial killer in Canadian history. Ask any Canadian about him and they’ll probably tell you that around those parts Robert Pickton is known as “The Pig Farmer Killer,” or simply by his two-word nickname—The Butcher.
