Barcelona's teenage defender Pau Cubarsi had to have a whopping TEN stitches in his face after his side's Champions League victory.

The 17-year-old started Barca's eventual 5-2 victory over Serbian side Red Star Belgrade, but had to be taken off with just over 20 minutes to go.

Red Star player Uros Spajic was booked for a high challenge on the youngster, with his boot hitting Cubarsi in the face as the Barca starlet stooped to head the ball.

Cubarsi immediately needed medical attention.

He was then withdrawn from the pitch and replaced by Sergi Dominguez.

After the game, Barcelona manager Hansi Flick confirmed the youngster was okay, but had required numerous stitches to patch up the damage to his face.
