Klaus Dittrich - Chairman and CEO, Messe München
We welcomed over 80,000 visitors from 120 countries to ISPO Munich. The atmosphere in the halls was, of course, inspired by this fantastic winter, even if some people had to overcome challenges to get here.
ISPO Munich was able to use all 18 halls we now have available for the first time. It was bigger than ever - 2943 exhibitors. And the 18 halls were also highly frequented.
Of course, there was a whole plethora of innovations to be seen again. Our Brandnew prizes to great products, including the overall main winner: a ski that can be individually adapted to the needs of each customer.
In addition, for the first time we brought eSports to ISPO Munich - the area was highly frequented.
And it's always surprising to see where there are innovations taking place. What actually impressed me the most was what is happening in the field of textiles. Suddenly electronics are being used to control clothing to adjust to the movement, so if you stop then it gets warm, if you move then it becomes air-permeable. It’s incredible to see the almost revolutionary changes in the textile sector.
That was ISPO Munich 2019
