Tea strainer: improvised Rescue Signaling Technique
Signaling for rescue in any survival situation is extremely important. The more signaling 'know-how' tactics you have in your "Trick-Bag" the better your chances are of rescue.
1) Stuff the tea strainer with birch bark.
2) Light the Birch bark (wait for a short time, then perform step 3)
3) Now swing the tea strainer in a large circle, but not to fast: otherwise you put out the flame.
When swinging the tea strainer in a large circle, you will produce the most visible display for attracting attention. The device forms a distinctive circle pattern visible up to 3 miles from the air and 1 mile on land.
Repeat step 1 to 3 as often as necessary.
