In 1942, Hitler launched Operation Barbarossa, invading the Soviet Union and arriving at the gates of Stalingrad. Among them was Vasily Zaitsev, who stood out for his immense ability to shoot targets at long distances with a rifle. It is reported that he killed 4 to 5 Germans a day. For his deeds, Vasily Zaitsev was awarded the Hero of the Soviet Union medal, the highest military rank in that country, and has entered history.
